Sida – the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency – is a government agency working to create better living conditions for people living in poverty and under oppression around the world. Sida works on behalf of the Swedish government and parliament and the agency's activities are funded through Swedish tax revenue.
Sida is implementing Sweden’s global development cooperation on migration, returns and voluntary repatriation 2024–2028. The strategy will help to counteract irregular migration and stimulate well-functioning returns that can contribute to sustainable growth and development in receiving countries, and effective action for voluntary repatriation. Development assistance will also contribute to effective measures to strengthen migrants’ and refugees’ enjoyment of their rights in partner countries, support host communities, and strengthen asylum and migration management in partner countries.
Currently, we are looking for partners who want to contribute to sustainable returns and reintegration in Somalia. The aim is to strengthen Somali migration management through improved institutional capacities, assistance, and reintegration services. This work will be conducted in line with the Team Europe Initiative, Strengthening Somali Migration Management (SSMM).
