Beskrivning

Sida – the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency – is a government agency working to create better living conditions for people living in poverty and under oppression around the world. Sida works on behalf of the Swedish government and parliament, and the agency's activities are funded through Swedish tax revenue.

Sida is implementing the strategy for Sweden’s development cooperation with Somalia 2026–2028. The strategy aims to create the conditions for better living standards for people living in poverty and under oppression in Somalia ranging from six objectives.

Currently, we are looking for one partner to contribute the third objective: Strengthened resilience and improved ability to adapt to crises, disasters, and climate change.

The partner will with the Swedish agency Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) cooperate on conflict-sensitive dialogues to identify local drivers of conflict in newly liberated areas in Southern Somalia. Through conflict-sensitive resilience and stabilization programming, the intervention aims to strengthen local conflict management, inclusive natural resource management, social cohesion and potentially other potential responses to drivers identified in the dialogues.

The activity period can last a maximum 24 months with a start date of February 1, 2027, and an end date no later than December 31, 2028. The length of the agreement and the amount granted are decided by Sida when appraising the contribution. Total budget of the intervention should include activities that amount to 40 MSEK to 50 MSEK.

The application process consists of two steps:

Step 1 - Call for expression of interest: All organisations are invited to submit an expression of interest. During the expression of interest stage, applicants will complete a required questionnaire, which includes questions related to the eligibility criteria. The call for expression of interest will be open from 13 October 2026 08.00 UTC+2 to 23 October 2026, 17.00 UTC+2.

Step 2 - Call for applications: Only the organizations who are assessed to fulfil the eligibility criteria set out by Sida will be asked to submit applications. The call for applications will be from 26 October 2026, 08:00 UTC+2 to 13 November 2026, 17.00 UTC+2.

Following the final step, Sida and FBA will assess all applications based on an internal scoring criteria. One organisation will be selected for further cooperation.
